A380 Ride Anyone?

Is this a marketing effort, or can they not fill the planes enough for long haul?
Both, as flying across the channel is a waste of time and energy.
The Eurostar can get you from the centre of London to the centre of Paris in under two and a quarter hours.

Flying would take longer and be considerably more inconvenient if travelling to the centre of town, not to mention the extra security regulations.

Seems like a gimmick, I've paid £70 return on Eurostar for next month. The journey is far quicker than trapsing out to Heathrow..

True, I love Eurostar, just make it the buffet car early on else you can queue for the whole time your in the tunnel.

Not been on it since it moved from Waterloo, the underground carpark under the station was great, get on the elevator and you were at check in.

I’m tempted to fly on the monster but at the end of the day it will be like any other flight just with more people on board. With the airport close by it would make an interesting day trip. Now if you could get to actually walk around the thing I would be queuing up for tickets.

That's why I always take food with me! :D

Eurostar is brilliant - though a bit gutted it moved from waterloo as that wasn't far from where I live.

I fly if I go to the south of France, but anywhere north I either drive (tunnel/ferry) or Eurostar it.

However I fly enough to not feel the need to go on a ride in the A380 - I'll get my chance soon enough.

Shame they no longer let you in the cockpit. I have loads of badges the pilot would give you when you went up in the cockpit with KLM. Would love to be in the cockpit of that when it's in the air.

Still, would be an incredible plane to be on. Might see if anyone wants to go to Paris!
