I'll keep it simple.

How much does one need to pay in order to buy a Facelift one that isn't knackered? Is, say, 6k enough? Is mileage an issue? There's plenty on Autotrader but you never know..

Lights aren't the only difference. The wiring is different too.

6k should be plenty for a decent face-lift.

Yep.

I actually prefer the pre-facelifts looks, the rear end of the face-lift has lexarse style clusters too.

One of my good mates at work is about to sell his black one for a very very good price.

Needs some little bits doing to it (general thing slike discs+pads etc) and he has cared after it like a baby. But he has lost his mind and bought an RX8.

He has gone onto nights so haven't spoken to him the last few days so the guy who was coming to see it might have already snapped it up. He was going to put it up at 3.5-4k :eek:

Also lighter flywheel, changes to the power steering / rack, different seats, different bumper and I think changes to the suspension and radio.

EP3 Type R is in demand at the moment with dealers trying to buy back cars from owners.

Also face-lift has side repeaters in the wing mirrors where as on the pre-facelift they're on the wings.

I see the imports are still holding their value too!

Very cheap that, you're looking at 11k absolute minimum to import one now.

Yup it is. It does have 130k on the clock but he was always telling me about the money he spends on it, doing it properly.

Told him that 3.5k was a silly price. The AD isn't up on the heads but he showed me the version in the management section and it looked amazing for the price. I think some civic buyer/dealer was coming to see it so no doubt he just flogged it to him. That was Tues/Wed night and haven't seen him since.

Edit: Had a ride in one yesterday near TGM and it was great fun, a lot more composed than my DC2 eyeballshaker. But alas my poor baby should be finally ready next week after some TLC !!!!!
