God of War 2 problem

Hello,

Just a bit past where you've just killed 2 cyclops where the midgets jump on there backs and control them, your in like a little dungeon with 2 buttons to open a door and one dead body.

It is obvious what i have to do, put one dead body on a button and then go to the other button and slow down time then go through the gate.

My problem is, that i can't slow down time? I thought it might just be a tiny bug in the game so restarted from last save but it still doing it? He just puts the gem up into the air but it does nothing? (did use to slow down time last time i played it, with a yellow bar being the timeline)

As anybody else come past this problem? Or am i missing something?

I completed GOW 2 the week it came out, its been a while.

3: Temple of Lahkekis

Dead Body

Solution:
In this room you see skeletons everywhere, wait a minute, there?s a body too.
They are hanging from the ceiling. You must do jump attacks to knock the body
down. Once he is down bring him with you too the elevator. Go down, and
put him on the button. Pull the switch all the way back, now run and roll
through the gates. This is the only hard puzzle too me.

Hidden Block

Solution: Once you have killed everything, you will notice a hard to
reach ledge. Smash the statue to reveal a block. Push this block to the ledge
and jump on it. From here jump to the top.

Thanks for the input but im already way past that bit, just done a little search on google and its come up we that you can't use the slow down thing unless a statue with a green amulet is in the room.

Guess im just being stupid and not sussing how to get out of this room properly.

Drop the body in the water on the right hand side and it will come around to the left, drop it on the left button. Then move to the center button, roll/dodge once the gate is down and you're through.

Hehehe, I got stuck on that bit, too. God of War 2 had me completely flummoxed in parts whereas I did the first without any help at all. Now I'm finally ready to play 3. Hope the titans look amazing... they were pretty good on the PS2.

Believe me GoW3 makes the Titans on the PS2 look like cartoons
