Besides, are automatics really faster than changing gears manually in terms of acceleration ? I thought most automatics were heavier than the manual counterparts ?

Having experienced Moeks' 540i Auto, I can 100% understand why these types of cars have an autobox. The gear change is just superbly smooth and VERY comfortable. The 5 Series isn't the type of car you are on about so going up another class definatley requires an automatic gearbox.

Last thing you want when chauffeuring some business tycoon who is sipping a £250 bottle of bubbly is to miss a gear change and jerk the car

Maybe with a piece of crap staight six under the bonnet but with a V8, it's hugely relaxing, even under heavy throttle due to the lack of BMW torque curves

HONDA distribution center, Avonmouth

the Mugen with the fancy plate is Number 0 and owned by the company, the NSX is private and just had £47K spent on it for a strip and rebuild
