iphone 3gs or desire .......

So do i.

Maybe someone will make there own Market with there own screening process.

Actually thats i good idea =\ BRB lol

I Was listening to music last night and like I said before its terrible on the desire, dunno how many android phones have better music but its not just ' not good' its really bad and that does tempt me to go back to iphone, its my personal main problem

I never did like having my mobile as an MP3 player =\ ill be buying the iPod Touch for my mp3's as i still think it's the best music player

I suspect the sound through headphones would improve by setting a graphic equaliser on the handset. I used a nokia 5580, and i thought that was a bit lame, untill i adjusted the sound graphics (massive difference then!)

Indeed It would, its not the perfect solution but I always used treble booster on my iphone and it was much crisper and more to my liking

Is pay for a good one too

I've had my Desire only a day and really love it. I would say that the iPhone has the following advantages:

1. A much better media player.
2. A way better market Place.
3. Much better gaming.

I think the iPhone will always be better at music because that is one of its main aims. Likewise gaming will probably stay better because it is a standard platform with standard hardware and controls (Android phones have variety of speeds, Trackballs, etc.

But longer term Android seems be an unstoppable force thats just going to get between better in all other areas. I wanted Android and therefore e Desire was the right phone for me. But I think that for most people the iPhone is a better short term bet. Long term Android has it.

Whats new about it? Not much different to most other HTC phones.

It's quite different, both in terms of appearance and features.

The iPhone, meanwhile, looks exactly the same as the one they released in 2007. Because why spend money changing it when the blind Apple fanboys would buy a Nokia 2110 for £600 if it said Apple on it?

LOL either you blind or your just being deliberately obtuse...if you know anything about phones and especially HTC ones...the Desire is completely different from other HTC models both in hardware and physical looks.

I'm an Android fanboy i dont see much difference between it and all the phone released in the last 6 months. So its much different to the nexus?

Well other than cosmetic differences there isnt much difference between the N1 and Desire hardware wise....other than the Desire uses a optical trackpad rather than the trackball.

Compared to past Android devices...ermmm 1ghz cpu is probably the biggest difference as well as bigger screens....more ram etc etc.

well from what I've read that is not the case if you're after the best sound quality, maybe true in terms of the ui(ease of use and what not) but when it comes to sound quality the ipods(touch, nano etc) can no longer claim that honour(if they ever could).

Which is true...ive had the first gen ipod touch now since it first came out and its a great mp3 player ie easy intuitive ui etc etc...but a few mths ago i bought some Monster beats Dr Dre headphones and honestly the ipod touch isnt that great at sound quality...i plugged the headphones into a friends Sony x series mp3 player and **** me the difference was night and day....in fact i ended up buying a x series 32 gb mp3 player to replace the ipod touch and the sound quality is much much better than the ipod touch.

no i dont but my wife needs on to .... and its not a case of i will get an iphone , i havent had one ever , so although it may be "old" to you guys its "new " to me ? i have had a g1 for 2 years now nealry , i want something different to android , and the desire just to me looks like a faster g1 thats that a asked .....

Why not look at the HD2?;)

Yup. Want an actual decent music player then look no further than Sony or Cowan.

If you are female, get an iPhone. They are simple and fairly good at most things, but over rated and over priced.

If you are a real man, get Android (I'd avoid Maemo for the time being while they sort Meego out)!

Desire is the best phone, failing that, Nexus One :)
