Went out for a late night drive around the country roads down here and the misty views over the hilly roads and back paths were amazing. Came up to one of the corners and noticed a birdy family in the side of the road as I took the corner and usually you'd expect them to bugger off and fly away but one didn't and it made a cute little "dududud" as I drove past :(

I looked in the mirror and noticed a bird rolling around a bit :(

I have Cockatiels and know how they look after each other and how they through a hissyfit when you play hide and seek with their sibblings so I can't imagine how that bird's folks must feel :(

If only I had a time machine :(

You're not the only bird murderer!

My cats brought in a young-ish bird, and thought it would be a laugh to hide it under the mat under the front door. I didn't know this, got home from work and stepped on it. Heard a crunch and a squeak :(

It happens, look on the bright side, at least you didn't have to remove it (or bits of it) from the front grille.

Aww poor bird :( such a bad feeling whenever I see an animal dead by the side of the road... but nothing a good amount of chocolate and amnesia pills won't sort out. :(

my dad had a seagull fly into his windscreen once. its rolled off the side of the car and went underneath the car following us. lol.. poor thing didn't know what happened.

A blackbird flew into my car while I was driving the other day.. literally divebombed the bonnet.. poor thing.

Other day in Manchester a bird clipped these racks on the top of a white van, feathers all over, I was on my bicycle and almost got a face full of feathers it was snowing them. Bird kept on going wonder if it survived and managed to keep flying.

I felt like killing a bird this morning - 6am, i wake up and all i can hear for an hour is a pidgeon on the balcony below my window going "coo coo, coo coo" incessantly. If i had a paintball gun i would have turned it into pillow stuffing.

When i had my 309 i just had my twin jenveys fitted, anyway came around a local corner only to have a magpie sucked under the car and spat out a ball of black n white feathers the other end. :D

Only yesterday I was walking along a pavement and a cat appeared out of one of the gardens a few feet infront of me. The cat got a bit of a scare that I was there and proceeded to start running into the road and the path of an oncoming car whilst its head was turned looking back at me rather than the road:( luckily it turned its head towards the road and avoided the car. I would have seen it run over right infront of me:(

I rescued a bullfinch that had been lamped by a car once, stopping my bike on a really busy road to do so. I popped him in my pocket and took him home with me. He was bleeding a little but was otherwise fine. After a few hours of rest, he was fit and well, and flew off into the trees.

I have also hit a few birds, but like to try to restore the balance when I can.

On another bird related note, whist on the train a couple of weeks back at exactly the point our train passed another, a pigeon decided to fly into the path of one train. It literally exploded, and afterwards looked like it had started snowing as feathers were sucked up in between the two trains.

You are upset because you killed a bird? I wouldn't have wanted you in my Section in Iraq or Afghanistan then. What is the World coming to? :(

It could have been rolling around due to being pulled by the car wheels I didn't stop to check no, not an easy thing to do on a single lane country road!
