You can for the most part find a random server and go Rambo around it if you just feel like running about not thinking too much about what your doing. For the most part, there are a lot of people that play this game that do the same thing, and some of them are not particularly skilled, I think I've only ever ran in to groups of well organised players a couple of dozen times at most, and even then, when it comes to the gun fighting they all squabble over the kill meaning they loose any organisation that they had.

Working in a group is better, if you can get a load of mates together on vent it can be a good craic, and it does improve your survivability.

Depends a lot on server, I tend to play late and on US servers.. and for the best part its mostly kids that can't play very well... the TFU hardcore servers and squad deathmatch server are on the other hand a little different.

The SAS beer drinker server has a good variety of skill playing on it most days.

Starting off is a bit rubbish, the better guns come with ranks and points. Start with recon if you fancy yourself as a bit of a good shot, hang at the back and pot shot people and mortar objectives. I found another good class to start with in the engineer, stay in cover as much as possible and take shots armour.

For £15 I'd say its worth a punt, thats what like 4 pints of lager?!?!

Is there tutorials? I mean if I'm an engineer do I stay with other people and fix vehicles or something? :confused:

I'm not the best when it comes to shooting people, not got a steady hand!

I've ordered the game, hopefully my system won't die trying to run it.

Aye that's no good then, I've bought it anyway, and hopefully I won't be super crap at it, crap maybe, but not super crap.

Do you play with scope/rd.

Personal preference, I still would use the XM8 myself as I am used to the handling, ironsights and tube attachment. Not a lot in the stats.

I play with RD. Couldn't get use to the scope really.

The XM8 seems to have been the best choice for a few unlocks now, is their a gun that I'll eventually unlock that I should use over the XM8 all the time?

Cheers

I've always championed the AN-94, even before it was buffed to the nines last patch. Then the M16 and M416.
AN is a 2burst rifle, M16 a 3 burst and M416 fully auto.

I used the AN as more of a long range weapon with the 4x on it. Super accurate and good stopping power. I've just plat the M16 which I used with the ironsights and now I'm starting on the M416.. not sure if I'm going to scope or RD it, depends on what sort of kick it has as I've only silver'd it so far.
Next one on my list is the XM8 plat then the AUG.

I found its best to get used to one gun and stick with it though. When I first moved from the AN to the M16 I though the later was a horrible gun, now I quite like it. It may sound silly but the small changes in how it handles and the sights for the tube/smoke throw me off.

Hi

Just want to vent my frustration... why can i never get a good few hours play without "failed to connect to EA online"... I don't get the time to play as much as I'd like so days like today when I have the house to myself are priceless..

i've had about 3 hours in game today but twice when I've left a server it takes ages to get back in again ...

if it were more reliable it would be great....

that could be a router issue with upnp, some users have turned this off in the router and it has worked for them, worth a try

could anyone tell me the program you use to change the FOV and stuff. Mine seems to have reverted back to 20 or something and it looks and feels sloppy. Cheers

^^ I will gladly join you for a blast if I can fix this.

You don't need a program you can change it in the settings.ini file:

Aniso=0
Detail=low
RenderAheadLimit=0
Fov=95
