Lucky Brit Scoops Highest UK Lottery Win

haha, I see I'm not the only person who checked their account/email when seeing this thread...

No win though. I've been playing for a few months, twice weekly, and nothing yet. Ah well!

I find it strange that they can't tell what location the ticket was bought from or what store even, surely the machines send this data to Camelot?

they do know where the winning ticket was bought, in the past they've released such details when the ticket holder has been slow to come forward, but i think this time due to the massive sum involved, they've probably decided not to release that information just yet for the sake of the winners privacy. I mean, once the location of where the ticket was bought is out there, you can bet your bottom dollar, the papers will make a beeline for the area, falling over them selves trying to find out who's won.

BBC News said:
LATEST:A UK ticketholder has come forward to claim £84.4m EuroMillions jackpot win, says Camelot
I wonder what their reaction was when they realised they won :p (assuming they have actually won)

I know I would put in a pretty big order to OCUK, ohh the buzz..:D

Order? you could buy the entire business! :P

I'd probably casually ask my parents how much their mortgage was, and then write them a check then and take a picture of the look on their faces :P

Pay off family's debt + mortgage's and the like.

Gf + best mate would be sorted, for life.

Learn to fly.

Start a bar/nightclub somewhere.

Keep my current car but just give it a new coat of paint etc :P

I'd quite happily live off the interest tbh.

I think the first thing i would do is put a big order into OcUK and build a beast of a PC .

I'd definitely move away from this country, not sure where but it would have to be nice and warm all year round.

Thats just too much for one draw, they could have have 8 seperate draws for 10million + each and made 8 people millionairres rather than one super rich.

I can't help but think the same.

80 million is obscene. Split it up 20 ways and make 20 people have a still enormous win.

For me, I would much rather play a game with 100X the odds of winning, but 100 time smaller prize. Even winning 500,000 would make a massive difference to most people if it is properly spent, and on the plus side doesn't turn you into any weirdo millionaire who wastes all their fortune.

I would probably be very boring if I won it .... pay off some debts, go on holiday ....

I would, once I'd decided where to live, buy some land and have a house designed and built to my specifications. That will probably take a couple of years to get sorted and built but I'd have the time :)

drive down, validate, NO LIME LIGHT, transfer money, leave, go home, laugh my head off, get financial advisor, off to porche garage, drive round europe :-)

bye bye !!!!

I'd do all the usual like pay off the parents mortgage, and set them up for life, as well as my brother to. I'd also finance him and myself through University, and make sure we have houses and suchlike afterwards, all the usual.

But my main aim would be to build a studio somewhere, and just write music all day, eventually put a first album together with my band, and if we don't get signed, I'd have enough money to promote it myself :p
My dream is to tour the world, playing sell out shows every night, and being in a new city every day, and that wouldn't change after a lottery win. Would certainly keep me busy too :)
