Lucky Brit Scoops Highest UK Lottery Win

Winning 84 million for me would turn into a full time job. I'd be investing in new and exciting companies along with some old and established ones. Do lots and lots of property developing. Loads of charity work too.

First main present to myself however would be to fly out to Turkey and follow the F1 season around until it concluded. By the time I'd got back the heat from other people would have died down and I could get on with making my money work for itself.

Keep it for the 3 more years I have at uni. Only spend it on a cheapish car, buy a nice rig, buy more food than I can at the moment. Then when I get out of uni buy a nice house, get some mates to move in with me. Then work out how much interest I'm getting on it and every month/year give a certain percent of the interest to different charities, changing each time. I would also travel a lot!

Edit: I would also hire a financial advisor because I would have no idea what I should do with what I don't spend!

If you lived for another 65 years after winning this much monies you would have to spend £147 an hour for the rest of your life to spend it all. Sounds like a challenge!
But there are perfectly feasible ways of spending half of it in one fell swoop (all of it even), there are ridiculous things that you could buy with that sort of money, which I don't think the people saying they'd live their lives the same realise

I wonder what their reaction was when they realised they won :p (assuming they have actually won)

A few more details on this...

A UK ticketholder has come forward to claim the country's biggest lottery jackpot of £84.4m, Camelot said today.

The winner could receive the bumper prize from Friday's EuroMillions draw on Monday subject to validation.
"We are looking forward to welcoming the lucky ticketholder to our millionaires club which is already 2,400 strong," a Camelot spokesman said.
No details have been released about the winner, who can decide whether or not to go public, according to Camelot.

It is not known if the winning ticket belongs to an individual or a syndicate.
The ticketholder has been catapulted into first place on the National Lottery Rich List, ahead of Nigel Page and Justine Laycock, who won a £56m jackpot in February.
Friday's £84.4m prize means the winner would immediately become the 789th richest person in the country, according to the Sunday Times Rich List 2010.

Based on figures in the survey released last month, they are just shaded by pop star Robbie Williams and Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts, who are both worth £85m.
But they are wealthier than the likes of former James Bond actor Sir Sean Connery (£80m), rock legend Jimmy Page (£75m) and comedian and actor Rowan Atkinson (£70m).

I'm hoping this is my office syndicate back in the UK. I have a feeling im not going to be happy though.

Lol. Why not.

For starters I would buy the car in my sig and some other cars too. Then a house, then sort my mum out with money and a house.

Boy. It's nice to dream.

Would anyone here go public? I cant see why anyone would want to go public tbh, I certainly wouldn't. The only people I would tell are my family and friends.

It would be so great to rub it in the face of certain family members and people who have ****** me over in the past.

I would do a spec me a high end PC thread in GD, and spec me a car thread in Motors, offerig no budget, just to wind everyone up. :p
