Cooper S - three months on.

Never been a huge fan of the MINI, but I do like what you've done with yours. The wheels and grille look great IMO, they take away a lot of the gayness and manage to make it look quite aggressive and 'edgy'

Seriously, and I know i'm opening a can of worms - I really don't understand and I doubt I ever will know how a car can be called 'Gay' especially with the Cooper S being what it is.

They're just jealous.

We're *this* close to getting an R57. I think as long as the colour combination is good it doesn't have to look feminine.
Or at least I hope so :o

Because its a small cute car, girls love them and drive them, so its a girls car, if a guy drives a girls car "some" people think he is gay.

Not exactly rocket science.

The gay factor has nothing to do with the way they drive - it's an image thing. Superb cars to drive, but they are cute, funky and girly

I'm not a huge fan but I like what you've done with yours - with the exception of the wheels

This, and it's nothing to get wound up about.

After all, more masculine looking cars such as mine are for over-compensating straight acting closet gays who haven't told their parents yet.

They look 'cute' and gay. I'm talking purely about the look and image, I am well aware they are very capable cars, and I respect them for what they are :)

They're just jealous.

Ahh, the old 'jealous' chestnut

Whilst I don't think the Mini is for gays at all, this sort of comment is just pathetic, really.

Why is this forum marginally obsessed with thinking anyone who makes a non positive comment on something is motivated by jealousy? I doubt many people are jealous of Wests car.

Aye, the jealous retort is a throwaway one.

I appreciate that the Mini is an incredibly capable car but am I jealous? No.

I fail to understand how epic hairdressers such as Howard can take it on the chin, and enjoy a bit of banter yet Mini drivers get all bent out of shape over it.

If anyone calls me a chav for owning an Evo, I'm going to get a proper strop on from now on.

White car + Black Alloys = Epic
Grey car + Black alloys = Meh.... :p

I'm not a fan of grey car's with black alloys. Sorry. It suits this car better than some but bright silver ones look better on that colour of car in my opinion.

Black alloys on bright coloured cars can look great, specially white cars or something orange and exotic :)

It's a cute little car with lots of stick-on bits (literally must be more than any other car ever), has gay names like "TLC" for servicing packages that BMW otherwise call "Service Inclusive" etc.

It's gay all over tbh. Not that it's a bad thing, it just is!

Now that the thread appears to have been sufficiently trashed (?!), if the OP is still looking in the thread, would he mind sharing where the dash is from, how easy it was to fit etc, and same for the grille? Many thanks!
