Even in the BIOS?
I just checked and yes, the MB temperature is fixed to 31 degrees in the bios as well, and this is the value that it never changes from in any temp monitor in windows.
Bios problem, or faulty hardware? I hope its not faulty

I doubt it is a BIOS problem, at least not something that can be patched, because it works fine with other boards. It may well be faulty, but remember it has a 3 year warranty. However if you are thinking of taking it back I would drive to wherever you got it from and exchange it personally because there are a ridiculous amount of "rules" the board must abide by such as no bent pins. Something that can easily be damaged in transport and the retailers would love to quote to avoid any hassle on their part.
I wouldn't worry about it too much though, the NB can go up to 100C before any damage is done, and mine hasn't ever gone about 68C, and that was with the side panels on, with an 800D which doesn't have great air flow, along with having all the windows shut, and being left doing prime95 all day long lol. So I doubt you have anything to worry about mate

This board looks more like a lemon every day that passes, another 2 people found that the cpu socket was missing srews and almost hanging off, then there people with missing NB screws or really bad temps...think im going to cancel mine im not paying £300+ for something that can hardly match a UD5 and made worse then a tonka truck
The problems with the video card seem gone. I've plugged the GTX 480 into the next PCIe slot. I dont understand why this would suddenly work but now I'm a happy camper
This board is utterly amazing tbh. It is by no means a lemon. However I can't see the real "need" to upgrade from a UD5 anyway, the board is a good one. To say you won't buy a top end board because of little hiccups like not having enough screws is just silly, if missing screws deter you from buying the board then you obviously don't need to upgrade, it doesn’t hurt to buy a few extra screws if they are missing. As for really bad temps? I haven't seen any tbh, as for me saying about my "worrying" temps, I merely made a comment as it seemed to be higher than before. Even so, if you read my above post that is most likely why. As normally the NB/SB temps don’t surpass 60/50 respectively, considering this can go up to 100C without causing any damage, then they can’t be “that” bad surely.
As for your last comment... it just bears no substance at all lol. This thing is built extremely well. The features, overall build quality, and overclocking capability are outstanding. With the newer BIOSs people are getting better and better results every day.
This board is a stunning piece of craftsmanship, but if you are upgrading from a UD5 then I don't see the point myself. I only brought it as it was my first X58 upgrade.

Buy a new car and the wheel falls off you be ok with that would you? I think a cpu socket barley attached to the mobo is a bit more the ops a screw missing. You are on the other right i dont need to upgrade from a UD5 nor did i need to do any upgrades that i have for the past 5 years that is not the point. you pay top doller mistakes happen but not when there that many poping up day by day
It certainly does not increse your confidence if you were considering buying one thats for sure, but lets hope that these problems cropping up are not too widespread, and that things settle down.
What a ridiculous analogy lol, wheels on a car can cost hundreds, off course I would be angry, screws on the other hand could cost about 30p for a bag, hardly something to rage about. On the other hand I agree with you that if you pay top dollar than everything should be perfect, if not, as close as. However, a better analogy would be say, turning down buying a spanking new car because the tires are flat, and you need to go out and buy a pump lol. At your other point, I still can’t understand why you want to pay over 300 quid for a motherboard, when your one works perfectly fine and does everything you want it to?

My last set of wheels cost thousands not hundereds if you want to be padantic
but glad you understand the point of the analogy as it had nothing to do with money its called "fit for purpose" Any ho maybe i can add something posative when it arrives may be a while for stock anyway so will wait and see.

Hmm when I used it, I found it to be pretty impressive considering it was on a very early bios. I've yet to install it again with the latest BIOS though.
So you've not tried it. What hopes, were they dashed?
Mine gets delivered tomorow do hope it comes intact..
and not with screws missing.
I seriously wouldn't worry about it, the only people I have seen complain about having no screws also commented that it was held in place my rivets... spot the obvious face palm?
ROFL ah ok. do u think its worth replacing the tim on the chipset.
debating if i should do it or not.
