So after rebuilding my loop yesterday into my new 700d I had an issue where my pc would randomnly freeze at the desktop.

The issue was (and not unusual for P55 owners) is that post was showing only 2048 of ram rather than 4096.

As most P55 oweners will no this tend to happen if the oc is too much or the ratios are not liked by the board.

However I quickly ruled this out by removing the oc. Still no joy. So I spent most of the day slowly removing each component and booting up etc etc etc. Still no joy.

Then I had a stupid idea, I thought the only thing I have actually done to my build in rebuilding the loop was to have a "safety" tighten of the waterblock.

So I thought as a last resort before I bought a new mobo, was to loosen the block a little, lo and behold post was succesfully showing 4gb ram and no more frezzes in windows.

I guess the tightness of the block was causing something to short?

Anyway lesson to note do not over tighten your nuts!!
