..or it might blow up in your face. Well, my vacuum cleaner decided to spontaneously catch fire in the middle of me using it. :( Just as well it didn't spread or the entire place would be up in smoke (wooden flooring). :rolleyes:

If I can remember where the receipt is I'll get a refund for this smoking wreck...hopefully. Otherwise it's dustpan and brush time.

Before anyone asks...no, my first instinct wasn't to grab a camera to take pictures of a burning appliance :p
 
Catch fire? Take it back?

Write a letter to Tesco explaining in a calm tone how their product nearly burned your house down.

Receive free stuff.
 
Not as bad as my friends incident with a chinease mini moto. But still a hoover catching fire...i call for free better replacement.
 
This. Vacuum cleaners are quite easily blown up if the cable is not fully uncoiled. The same goes for extension leads when running high loads.

It wasn't coiled up on the cleaner, no...unless you mean unwrapped on the floor? In which case no, it had bunched up in the corner.
