..or it might blow up in your face. Well, my vacuum cleaner decided to spontaneously catch fire in the middle of me using it. Just as well it didn't spread or the entire place would be up in smoke (wooden flooring).

If I can remember where the receipt is I'll get a refund for this smoking wreck...hopefully. Otherwise it's dustpan and brush time.

Before anyone asks...no, my first instinct wasn't to grab a camera to take pictures of a burning appliance

This. Vacuum cleaners are quite easily blown up if the cable is not fully uncoiled. The same goes for extension leads when running high loads.

You don't need your receipt. The item will no doubt have Tesco written on it somewhere. Take it's faulty plastic ass back and demand a refund.
