Check out the linux porting thread on xda-developers. They've managed to get things moving rather nicely. I'm not sure it's enough for everyone to quite go installing android on their HD2 yet, but I imagine things will start to move very quickly now.

Because the HD2 is a beast and is probably the best looking phone with high specs out there :D

Because I love the phone, have had it a few months now and getting annoyed with some of the bugs and lack of good app support on winmo.

x10 ? same specs (infact better camera) arguably looks better imo. and id bet anything on it getting the latest android before hd2 gets working android

but this is good news for HD2 owners. hopefully things will improve

Unfortunately on o2 the only phone available with a 1ghz processor was the HD2. I also like the fact that the screen is larger than on most phones - useful for those of us with larger hands :)

I can't really get to grips with swipe. Sometimes it works well but I have a habbit of typing some words in txt spk which causes problems.

Also sometimes it doesn't feel smooth while swiping my finger around. I havn't described that very well but it feels as though movements are restricted without putting a bit of force, even after using a screen cleaner.

Have you got a screen protector or just bare glass?

I found whilst my screen protector dropped sensitivity a bit, it made gliding my finger around SO much easier.

Bare glass. I do have a screen protector but never applied it after realising it came with a nice case. I might put it on as I still managed to put a small scratch in the screen.
