Mondeo ghia parts on zetec

Yup. Brembo brakes, check. AP Racing clutch, check. OZ Wheels, check. Sachs dampers, check. £30 wiper stalk that allows you to choose what speed the intermittent wipe works at? Bugger 'em, it'll make the car too expensive

Maybe they just forgot :p

Do like :D

Don't supose you have a link for how i can hide my satnav cable and phone charger? :)

I HATE CABLES

I don't but I would have thought it would have been fairly easy tbh.

You would take apart centre console to access cig lighter,

get one of these, plug all your stuff in, then the phone cable could come out in the ash tray (I did this with a AUX cable and can take a pic if you like) and run the sat nav cable under the centre console to the glove box and then out onto the screen - or if you were feeling ambitious, run it right up to where the windscreen vent is and drill a hole there.

Edit: In fact, someone has done a guide for an ipod which you could do for your phone ;)

Ah thats a good idea, i could hide one of those in the dash and have the cables running up.

Just got to find a way to bodge the cable to staying on the satvan/phone holders when nothing is in them.

The joys

When I get home I'll take some pictures of how I fitted the AUX lead - it might give you some ideas ;)

£7.50 and program it yourself using the other 2 :)

Better safe than sorry, otherwise it could be £120+ at a dealer

Would this not work? one with a new transponder? Or is it a different type?

Right, basically there is a wire which comes out the back of the headunit which tricks it into thinking it is a CD changer, when in actual fact it has a 3.5mm jack on the other end, not a CD changer.

The wire goes down where the carpet meets the trim and has just been stuffed through that small gap. (Picture of where I mean below)

The wire ends then goes through the gap where the ash tray usually is.

Then I can put my MP3 player in the cup holder, having it come through the ash tray also means when its not in use, the lid can close and it looks neat and tidy again.

No holes needed, you just need to take the ask tray out and thread the wire through the hole where the light is.

Oh, and this is what I meant by
Its always annoying because I can actually see MPG not lit up on the display when the sun is shining on it!

When its in Diag mode, it turns on all dashboard lights :p

Cheers for the pics.

How do you get it in diag mode? Because if mine show the MPG too i might fit the indicator stalk before i find new clocks just to try it out, worth a try seems im going to be doing it anyway.

I assume yours displays temperature all the time and not miles remaining?

Yep :(

Press and hold the trip reset button and turn the ignition to position 2, you gotta do them at exactly the same time - might take a couple of attempts.

Then press the trip button to cycle through all the options:

Gauge test
All LCD are illuminated
Indicator bulbs
ROM level (r----)
NVM (EEPROM) level (Er----) - this (e.g. Er0206) is often mistakenly assumed to be an error code!
DTC revision level (dtC985)
DTC. The DTCs stored will be displayed. The DTC codes will scroll through if there is more than one, or "nOnE" if there are none. See below for interpretation.
Road speed mph (SP----)
Road speed km/h (SP----)
Averaged speed, some sort of hex reading (S60---), probably not useful to the end user.
Engine speed rpm (TA----)
Averaged tacho signal, some sort of hex reading (T60---), probably not useful to the end user.
Odometer counter (od ---)
Fuel level sensor (F ---, 010 (empty) - 254 (full))
Averaged fuel level (F60---, range as above)
Fuel flow rate (FL --, hex counter)
Fuel percentage/remaining? Hex? (FP --)
Cylinder head temperature (---C)
Battery voltage (bAt---)

Any ideas? Tried holding down the eject button but no luck :(

Is the motor turning when you press the eject button?

I can hear the disc trying to eject but somethings not catching from the sounds of things.

Just keeps making the same clicky sound over and over :(

A few cars ago I had a Mondeo Zetec. The cheapest 'upgrade' I've ever made was to add the footwell lights to it. Ghia and above have these, but the lower specs give you the bulb-holders but no bulbs in them! IIRC, 40p sorted this one out! Great success!
