how easy is it to make a white xbox 360 black?

there seem to be vinyl sticker type things off ebay for under a tenner. i'm going to try that route first as it's cheap and very much hassle free...i don't really need it to look perfect, but rather to simply blend in and not stick out like a white xbox would.

will post pics next week perhaps.

Yes, well sort of. Technically opening the console is what voids your warranty, the sticker "breaking" is just a way of MS proving you have.

Not necessary, just hold a hairdryer over the sticker for a minute or so and it will easily peel off without ruining it. Works for either the old silver stickers, or the newer papery ones (or any kind of warranty sticker).

It's still sticky afterwards BTW, so you can just put it back as though it had never been removed :)

Seriously, the best answers were on the first page. Either do it the proper way and take it apart for a re-spray or just do it the tacky way and buy some vinyls to stick over it.
 
there are some vinyl decals at online auction for £6.95 delivered which look really good (I'm tempted myself now) but I can't see how they stick on :S
 
get some thin plasticard, paint it and attach, easy to remove, nice smooth finish that adheres paint well and you can basically do anything you want with it, plus plasticard is cheap as hell and widely available from modelling shops ;)
