For large amounts of free tea, I'm willing to risk being the victim of such a thing*. :|

*I do, however, have only a tiny amount of overclocking experience.

No respectful English gentleman would turn down the offer of tea, therefore, I must be one :)

On a more serious note, I could attempt to help you, having done a bit of playing about with my i7 and previous Phenom, but I think you'd be better off with a 'proper' overclocker to help you out. I've never done anything seriously big with my processors before, so I don't think it would be of much benefit to you, I'm afraid.
 
Lol. Well it was just an idea. Id like to OC it as its been at stock now for like 2 years or so. Thought I might as well push some more life out of it
 
How very strange...

I used to own a Q6600, with Ballistix Tracer and a P5K3 Premium motherboard (nearly the same) and a AC 7 Pro!!

and I live in Buckley, only 20 minutes away from Wrexham.


But I'm not going to help because..... I'm not at home at the moment I'm in uni.

To be honest, it won't be exactly hard to do it yourself. You will be able to get to 3.8Ghz by just upping the voltage. You won't even have to touch the memory speed or timings just leave them on auto. :)
 
just try it, up the fsb and volts.....have a quick look at the sticky in the overclocking page....really its like taking a pee its that simple
i was a tad unsure when i wnted to have a go, but these good people helped out and the guide also helped, your not going to kill anything
