Overclockable mATX AM2+ motherboard

Hi,
Does anyone have any experience overclocking (ideally non-black edn) AM2+ processors using mATX boards? Theres a few available, such as the Asus M3N78-VM NV and Gigabyte GA-MA74GM-S2H , but they're not at all reviewed, let alone from a OC'ing perspective.

I don't really get the point in linking to the AMD overclocking thread. It's not like *all* discussion that touches on overclocking has to go in there - this is the motherboard forum afterall.

FrenchTart, you asked for information on decent uATX AM2+ boards, going on to say that "they're not at all reviewed, let alone from a OC'ing perspective" so I linked you to a thread that does exactly what you asked for? :confused: . . . It's only 184 posts long and I've included an excessive amount of info and pictures that should prove useful! :D

Ah, you just wait until you know you can get some really decent performance at an affordable price!

Wish i could learn from that approach although i must admit that i'm astonished i've managed it this long without going i5/i7 or ati5000 seris/nv 400 series. :)

Yes, strangely neither I nor the person I was posting for has time to comb 185 pages of a thread to find information. If either of us did we would no doubt have read that thread in its entirety rather than post asking for help. Most searches for matx/etc on here don't return results that are conclusive either.

I think it's likely to be a 1055T though I'm not sure. It's not me who's building it :)

I think that basically covers your brief . . . not sure how much overclocking you had in mind but once you pass a certain point (266 HT ref. Clock approx) then you may be better served with a larger, more beefed up motherboard that features an 8+2 power system and some built-in heatsinks to keep the power circuitary running cool!

ASUS M4A785D-M Pro cost me £57.99 from OcUK but they no longer stock it? . . . deffo one of the top three uATX AM2+ boards IMHO! :cool:
