Hi,

Anyone know how to cancel Xbox Live so Microsoft dont continually charge my card?

I logged into my account but I could not see any option to cancel the subscription.

Any help would be fantastic,
Thanks!

As I recall, you'll probably have to give them a call.

I assume it's in the hope that you think it's too much hassle and keep it ;)

easiest way i found to cancel a rolling subscription was to enter a code for 48 hours free play.

this was before online canceling

I had to call, get put through to another dept, then the person said he didn't have the power to cancel it himself (seriously) and had to basically leave his supervisor a message to cancel it and a promise to me that the supervisor would call within two days.

Two days later I got a call from the supervisor asking if I was sure I wanted to cancel, then I had to give my card details for them to cancel it.
Then when I logged in I found that the two months I had left were gone, and I got an email with two codes, one for each month that I had left - fair enough but couldn't they just cancel the recurring billing - I can't work out why they had to wipe my whole live gold account and send me codes for the months I had already paid for with a scratch card

It was a real pain in the backside, considering it used to be done with a couple of mouse clicks on their website.

Absolutely ridiculous - I only put my card on there because they were doing one month for a £1 - awesome offer but what a pain to cancel the recurring billing!
Well, no matter how good their next big offer for cheap live gold is, I won't be taking them up on it - scratch cards only from now on.

turns out you cant use a code, I had to ring them, the guy on the other line was very low and spoke with a heavy russian accent, I must've repeated "sorry mate I can't hear you" more than once :\.

blood nuisance, this is why I hate XBL.

you can cancel via the xbox live webby as said above, just find the page with recurring payments and uncheck the box, thats what I did then bought a cheap pre pay card instead

will try and find the link for future reference

its done via account management on the 360
