Places to go in York?

A decent night in York:
Micklegate run (top to bottom) ending in Reflex

Chav central:
Montey's for 2-for-1 drinks and at 9 head down to bpm, finishing the night in Salvation (Best on a Thursday night)

Weekender:
stick with the bars, they tend to be the best; Evil Eye, Dusk if it's not full, Vodka Revolution, Orgasmic, finish the night in The Willow (there's always a queue though)

At all costs, avoid The Gallery

Cheaper side of town, do MIcklegate, start in weatherspoons, Brigantes do a nice meal and good cider if you like that......then down to nags (trebles 4 singles), Id miss rumours next to nags, Chav central.... then go to reflex, BPM, then Club salvation.

If youd preferr a nicer side of york with nicer bars etc, Start in Varsity, go on to vodka revolution/Orgasmic, then virtually next to that is Pitcher and Piano...Nearish to them, is the likes of Blue Fly, evil eye, Dusk, Voodoo Lounge etc, Look them up and enjoy :)

Aah the memories, there and Ziggy's that is. No idea if Ziggy's still exists though.

Edit: Hang on, is Ziggy's a lap dancing club? When did that happen!! I remember when the spearmint rhino opened and that was the only club of that sort around!

Get yourself to the stone roses bar... good times. all the others have been said :)

Oh yeah that bar is awesome, I go to Manchester every other weekend as I live there but thats like the bar you'd hope to find in Manchester thats not in Manchester. Everywhere else was typical of a town centre, bars down the side of the river thing were cool as it was last summer.

Drunken roly poly's down the hill with the tower on top were interesting too

I don't suggest stealing some cardboard from Fenwicks and I definitely don't suggest sledding down it... :p

Unfortunately so, Asylum's good on a Tuesday night (bottom floor of Ziggy's). There are now 3... gentleman's clubs in the town centre (and a couple more private ones around not-so-central area)

And the fudge factory for the delicious fudge!!!

The free fudge IS WIN... if you can track it any way, try coming down when the Vitamin Water truck's down, you can usually scam a box off them because it means you go home sooner (then you're a legend for having a hangover cure for your mates the next morning)

I'd not agree with betties, I see people queuing for that place just for the sake of saying they've been there, insane. Never got into gallery in the end, was there with York freshers and the queues were just daft, can't ssy it seemed nice though. Last drop inn is nice!

Betty's is average anyway.

Much like The Magpie in Whitby. People queue just to say they've been there.

There are much better Fish and Chips over the river and a much much much smaller queue, even if there is one :p
