Anyone else play this?

Boots have a deal where you get three items (usually sandwich, some snack, drink) for £2.99 (£3.49 in London :o). So the idea of the game is to choose your three items such that it comes to as much as possible above £2.99.

The key item to doing well here is getting an Innocent smoothie. Retail price on these babies is something like £1.80.
 
You know, i was gutted when they got rid of the 'Get the 6th meal free'. Still a good deal though, I just wish they had a little more selection on the wraps.
 
Used to do this in my last job.
Triple BLT + Relentless + Big packet of McCoys would have been over £5 on their own :p
 
Last time I had one, just before Easter, I had a BLT sandwich, a Diet Coke and a packet of Mini Eggs. The Mini Eggs would have cost quite a bit on their own.

The other week I went in and saw all the sandwiches had been reduced to 75p, so I bought one. It was a pack with three sandwiches.

The boots where I go (soho) has the 'green machine' or whatever smoothies, they're allot larger than the innocent smoothies and cost £2.50 on there own!
 
Best time to do this in terms of value for money is easter, as a pretty big bag of mini eggs is included. For pure cost save it would be a triple pack sandwich, Plus (as stated earlier) an innocent smoothie and finally one of the boots own Brownies or something, I think these go up as high as about £1.29. So it would normally cost about £5.70ish all in.
 
Haha yeah who bothers going for the cheaper sandwiches?! Triple pack of the most expensive all the way! They have some nice crisps in the deal too, so regular Walkers are out of the window. The drink selection is a no brainer though. Strawberry Frijj everytime. That stuff is like crack I swear!
 
I do this in my student union shop. Cant remember the price it's something like £2.99. Get bottle of coke (~£1), crisps (~60p) and sandwhich (~£2.50) :D
