I don't know if such a thing exists so if someone has made something themselves i would appreciate some ideas.

If i put the case on the floor, quite a bit of hum can be heard on the floor below. I have been getting around this for many years by placing my case directly over a wall between to rooms.
Last week i tried move my case to a different location, but I put some thick foam packing underneath it which worked almost perfectly, but was rather unstable.
When i turned my 4870x2 fan up 60% did it become audible downstairs - but that shouldn't be a problem shortly as i have bought an Accelero Xtreme cooler for it.

But tomorrow my new case arrives and it won't fit in the space where the wall is and although the packing will do for now, i could really do with something better/permanent.
Considering the the case (FT02) alone weighs 15kg, it will need to rather strong. Hmm maybe i could build a mini floating floor lol

Anyone have any suggestions?

Cheers

Might be worth considering the fractal design case.It has all that foam stuff and might be as cheap as a stand that will hold a ft02

Quite possibly the silliest reply ive ever had on this forum, thanks for that :p

I would get some foam and put some wood on it and then place the case on it. How thin are your floors? :O
No idea, its a loft conversion, just hardboard on the beams in think.

If i put i piece of wood on some foam, it would still be rather wobbly though, trying to think how to get round that.

I was thinking that maybe i could try attaching some of those spikes you get on floor standing speakers to a piece of wood to limit vibrations.

Floor spikes actually transmit more vibration to the floor, contrary to how they are marketed (they do stop things rocking back and forth by digging into the floor though). A flat thin piece of polystyrene under each foot should reduce the vibration transfer and not make the case overly wobbly.

Google "AcoustiFeet Vibration-absorbing Low Profile Silicone Feet".

Great product that works great, just make sure you get the right ones for the total weight of your assembled tower.
