Are RTS games available for consoles? The last I played was redalert on PS1 and it was dire, made even worse by trying to use the pad as a mouse.

Online RTS games could work great online if you could use a proper mouse and keyboard with your console.

I hate using a pad to control FPS and RTS games. Pad is useful for rally, beat-em up and general arcade games but is horrible for FPS and RTS

Starcraft 2 console support with keyboard and mouse would bring a whole new group of people

Yes there are some (not saying they are any good)

Tom Clancy's End War was one I think

There's quite a few on Xbox and PS3. Red Alert 3 supported a mouse on the PS3 I believe.

There could be a further surge of them in future as the new motion controllers should make them more accessible.

I'm playing a bit of Halo Wars right now, and it's kinda fun but just isn't the real thing. Tactics are a little bit out of the window because the game isn't easy enough to control or even deep enough to micromanage properly.

RA on the ps1, you could use a mouse.

Also the link up worked well, aside a little slow down when everything cracked off at once.

Imho one of the best games on the ps1... also one of the best selling i think.

RA3 is avaiable for the ps3, but i don't think it includes mouse/board.

Tbh thats more indicative of the way ea acts toward rts on console these days.. where once they cared about the market (RA on ps1) now they don't, simple as.. dead market:(

It was a regular sight seeing me and a mate lugging my TV and PS1 three quarters of a mile to play RA link play. Probably the game I put most hours into on PS1. Truly brilliant :)

the best one IMO is end war, it looks rather pretty and its so simple to command stuff, the only problem i had was the lack of a 'proper' campaign and how the **** hit the fan everytime WMDs were made available, all me bloody tanks!
