The ATI 5970 + 5850/5870 Tri-Fire thread!

Hey all.

If you have a Tri-Fire setup consisting of a HD 5970 and a 5850 or 5870 then please post your pics in here also add a benchmark aswell if you want!

I will start!

My cards can overclock to 1015/1350 useing 1.275v in after burner.
the bench was at 925/1280

Ive swapped the cards around now so the 5970 gets more air.

So your 5970 is at the top?
How did you get the 5970 to run your monitors?

I run single monitor and thats connected to the 5970.

Went into bios told it to boot using the pci.

If you select pci x16 no 2 it boots into windows but you dont see bios screens.

If you select pci x16 no 1 it shows bios but blank screen when windows should show.

Works fine for me i see bios and windows using the pci and the 5970 runs cooler.

Nice rig OP. I often don't like the choice of colours or type of tubing in water cooling set-ups but that looks great.

One of the best I have ever seen.

I am curious do you have metro 2033? I couldn't get it work with a 5850 in crossfire, it would crash when you try to load a game, but strangely it would work with a HD 5870 in crossfire.

Incidently, I saw almost no difference with a 5870 next to the 5970 or a 5850, I still got around 70 fps average in crysis.

Has anyone else had any problems with metro 2033 and 5970+5850?

Nice thread, I'll be ordering my new 5970 next week, but wont be able to Tri-fire it with my 5850 till the month after, dont realy have the money for a new PSU and GPU

An these are the vitals with the MSI AB fan profile as it running the unigine 2.0 benchmark ...:

And vantage @ 1920x1080 ... with an 8800GT thrown in for good measure !

Why does it look like in your first picture, that you've bent your case above the CPU fan?
