5 Reasons GTA IV Is The Worst Great Game Ever Made

I know its ***p article but still has some very good points

Like what?

It's just someone who doesn't know how to play games properly. If you can't understand something as simple as pressing one of the shoulder buttons to hide behind a piece of scenery then you deserve to be put down I'm afraid.

The points raised are not at all what I would consider bad about GTAIV. However, so much was removed from IV in comparison to San Andreas that the game was seriously boring.

GTAIV was amazing, definitely one of the best games I've ever played this gen. hoping red dead redemption trumps it, just got to wait until exams are over ;\.

Certainly not on of the worst games ever made, but I did find it quite boring and the combat slow and clunky. Oh, and the baby sitting missions?!

Now, GTA4's level of detail, charatcers and general polish, with the fluid combat of Crackdown and the co-op and, let's face it, more fun missions/activities of Saint's Row 2, would be something special.

I agree with most of those points and I think some people just don't want to admit they do either. I love the game (and its predecessors) because of the size of it and what you can get up to. However there are so many flaws in it, some of which are pointed out in the article, that annoy and frustrate on a regular basis. There is no perfect game out there, I just hope that GTA5 will get rid of the frustrations of 4 and not just improving the graphics and a new story line. The worst great game?? - quite possibly :).

The article is spot on. GTA 4 is the first game I have ever played where the Engine outdoes the gameplay. Like the Edge review of the game said, "this is the last time the old formula will work for a GTA game".

R* really needs to step it up for the next installment. And also hopefully learn how to optimise for the PC. Oh, and how to not have bugs where the final mission cannot be completed because the frame rate is too high and it interferes with the controls.

Didn't agree with any of that article tbh.

I enjoyed the game enough to finish it, but not chase the smaller achievements so I've not put in as much time as many. But honbestly the article seemed fairly groundless and attention grabbing.
