Think I'm Beat

You tried updating the BIOS? the E6300 is one of the later intel 775 chips, was only released Q2 last year.

Have you got an older 775 to try?

Just transfered the enermax liberty back to my i7 rig.

all is well

The 6300 will be installed back in a working PC tomo so that leaves the ram which I tested at a mates house on his daughters PC.

worked error free in memtest

So No shorts in the case...as I removed that from the equation

It has to be the ******** luck of all time and I have 2 dead mobos on my hands

I have run out of ideas now.

How can I do that when I see nothing on screen?

The E6300 was one of the first 2MB 1.86ghz C2D's to come out...

Mobo 1 has ran a Q6600 a 6400 and E5400 in its day flawlessy

Mobo 2 from MM was running a Q9550 apprantly so a 6300 or E5400 would work fine.

I presume you've tried it without your usb keyboard connected, or anything else usb for that matter, just to eliminate any dodgy usb devices?

Certainly sounds like a pair of knackered mainboards if all the other parts work in different machines, and by the sounds of it you've eliminated any other possible issues, that's unlucky to the extreme!
