The Tiguan has arrived

where have you found these unbelievable prices,

on the scheme were on the KUGA is £487 a month (i have the price list still) it's more expensive due to the higher rate of devaluation!

One of my workmates is thinking about leasing a new Citreon DS3. I've tried my best to dissuade him but he seems a complete fool about it :(.

Congratulations on your new car, any pics of the inside? And wheres the rest of the car lol, it seems to just stop at the end of the rear doors? Is a 1.4TFSI Scirocco not a better choice when you absolutely must have a VW badge and a 10 on the number plate?

Ah, so you do a lot of driving which requires 4WD. Makes a bit more
sense now... O wait no it doesn't. :(

safety first! and we do require to go on some untarmaced tracks to get to certain places we regularly visit.... yes 2WD can easily manage it but it's still a consideration......

think i'll be shot down for this comment too!

£440 for 3 years and when you give it back you won't even have anything to show for nearly £16,000.
Shocking.

There is another way to look at that though.

It is hassle free motoring which some people are happy to pay for.

As for having nothing to show for it after a few years, well so what, until you intend to end your motoring carreer, you are always going to have x amount tied up in a car, see i dont subscribe to the "car = asset, available to be cashed to free up capital" way of thinking popular on here.

So to that end it matters not to me if i own a car or pay to use it by leasing, its still just transport.

Im lucky i can afford to buy decent cars to use, some people choose to lease, at the end of the day, they are just transport, obtain them in the way that floats your boat.

His employer obviously have an incredible deal set up somewhere. He works in the automotive industry :)

ummmm i don't know what you mean by where's the rest of the car, the scirocco is too small for our needs, and the VW's were the cheapest brand by a long way on the scheme due to heavy discounts and them holding their value.

I'm not a badge snob by any means if i was i would have paid the extra £40 a month and had the Q5

It just looks no bigger than a Golf to me, just higher up. I guess its hard to tell without getting inside one.

Fair enough about being the cheapest on the scheme, I would have thought VW would have been more than the likes of Ford/Vauxhall etc. but I suppose taking devaluation into account it does make a lot of sense.

£440 a month seems a pretty huge amount.

You could get a Golf 2.0TDI GT with 18" Alloys and the convenience pack for £290 a month (2+23) on a lease.

People on here really don't do like for like comparisons when it comes to leases.

£16,000 over three years for a car + tax + insurance + servicing + consumables + the convenience of not worrying about anything going wrong, really isn't very much money.

People saying you can get this and that haven't factored in everything to the equation. The suggestion of a range rover sport is laughable, that would be £1,300 in just car tax now add on insurance and maintenance and tyres etc.

Kugo lease for 170 quid, maybe if you plan on a mileage of 5k pa?

Makes the car stuff here look cheap thats for sure. £250 a month would get you a Range Rover Sport and your only cost being the fuel :p

£170 for a Kuga to compare.

Lol you know you cant compare the MRC scheme, How about an XFR? £300/m! THANK YOUUUUuuuuuu :D
