Best stero headset for gaming

Hey i have about 80-90 pounds to spend

I would like a nice pair of headset that is steror plugs and NOT USB since i will be using it with my X-fi Creative Titanium sound card.

I have the Kaves attached to a meager XFI Xtreme music (until i can afford the Titanium). this headset is outstanding , you do know that it is a 5.1 headset though?

No they will work just fine in stereo too, but a dedicated stereo headset would give a richer sound i expect.

If you're looking at headphones then Goldring/Senn are going to be the best shots in that price range. If you're looking for a headset (with a mic) then the Razer Carcharias are the best in the price range, a decent bit under budget too.

Sennheiser HD555's are said to have better synergy with the X-Fi, than Goldring's phones. I use Goldring DR150's with my X-Fi Xtreme Music, which I find work great together, so if the HD555's are better suited, then they would be a very good buy. Being headphones they don't have a microphone, so either a desk or clip on one would have to be used. If you want a mic attached, then as Alexrose mentioned, the Razer Carcharias are a good buy. They use the same drivers as the HD555's.

I'll vouch for the Razers, very very comfy, good sound, good mic. Good value.
