Fable 3 accidentally revealed for PC

Now officially revealed - £40 download from the GfW Live site exclusively. Why I was expecting it on Steam, I don't know. :D

Microsoft has finally confirmed Fable III for PC, and revealed the snazzy Collector's Edition of the game.

Due "Christmas", this limited edition box will be wrapped up and presented like a book from the world of Fable. Inside is an exclusive quest with the Wolfsbane sword as a reward; a new family-oriented location sprinkled with treasure; pack of Fable III playing cards; Guild Seal coin to flip when decisions are tough; an exclusive Boxer breed of dog and an exclusive Aurora set of clothes.

This Collector's Edition will sell at RRP £60 on Xbox 360.

The PC version of Fable III will be downloadable exclusively from Games for Windows - Live and cost £40.

Arse, I woulda bought that for the book style and the coin alone - nothing else really appeals to me, but those 2 would be worth the extra £20. Maybe I just have too much money to spend.

If the game lives up to the price tag, i'll purchase it.

I spent £45 on Zelda: Twilight Princess for the GC.

Geez, No boxed version AND its going to cost more than every console game that ive ever bought, Suppose I should be happy that its actually coming out though..

Good news about the retail, I suppose but I wouldn't consider buying from anywhere else but Steam for a digital version. Don't like the 'messiness' of GfWL.

y is it games for windows live is a complete rip off, pretty much every game they have for download are really high prices.

Dirt 2 was going for like £45 from there, even thou u could buy the retail version for about £17, and about £10 from steam when i bought it.

i think ill just stick to steam for downloads :)

Obviously enough people are buying the games at that price.

They're probably affected by the same constraints as Steam in this regard as well in that the games must be sold at the same rrp that brick and mortar shops sell the games for.
