Can you not just put something underneath like a column to support it? still it's a bad design if the weight is bending the card.

yes thats what ive had to do but at this rate its going to just break the connectors off at the front since its held in by pcie slot and the from 2 dvi and hdmi ports

1 yes its all done right
2 great so cus my card bends im a noob so u calling ever one eles that has a card bend on them a noob
3 no i have had to make the tube smaller then the last one i had when it was for my 8800gtx to give it some support

yes i no its from the camera phone its the best i got ill try take another soon to show the support i made to try hold the card up ive sent EK all the links to the posts ive made so would be great to get others with the block thoughts as it will help me and allso help EK ty

Not that I'm going to buy one of these, but good on you mate for trying to warn others of a possible problem with these blocks.

it's not the weight of the block thats the problem, it's the design of the block, it doesn't give the same level of physical support that the stock hsf does.

personally, ive found a clothes peg does wonders for the problem :D

Imo its normal for the cards to sag alittle due to the weight of the block and how the card is secured to the mobo/case. Until you post a photo that you can actually see something, I have to trust EK's experience over your inexperience.

Your thread title is alittle over the top dont ya think?

That's epic! The perfect length, huh? It's great when life lets you get away with little things like that ;)

well it works, atm till it breaks not sure if the card is going to like it much through.

just support it the best you can. not sure if a second one would support it :p I didn't say that

Gees the guy has identified a problem and a couple of people jump on him for bringing it to people's attention. Support is probably the way to go for now and then buy the backplate once they are available but yes your main point of this problem not being seen before selling the blocks does warrant a concern.

I'd be surprised if the 480 block is any heavier than their other blocks.

VoG is right though, no water block supports the card that well as they don't attach to the black plate like the stock HSF. That give the whole assembly more rigidity.

There aren't that many benefits to having a HTPC case, but having the GPUs upright when water cooling is definitely one of them. :D
