Muslims Threaten To Kill South Park Creators

Tbh, people should know by now what South Park is about, what they produce comes to me as no shock.

They've had a laugh at every religion I can think of... off the top of my head anyway.

The Christian Church involved young boys and and a love boat (The Catholic Boat!), a giant spider representing God and the Gelgamek aliens.

It's worth remembering that it isn't all Muslims, it tends to be a very specific few. As for why those number are so violent and angry I'm not entirely sure - I can't imagine how you reconcile in your head that your religion is meant to be peaceful with an expressed desire to kill those who hold a different viewpoint or who make fun of your religion.

The founder of Revolution Muslim is being rather disingenuous when he suggests that making unbelievers fearful is a valid and worthwhile viewpoint as it will "make them think twice before they rape your mother, or kill your brother or go onto your land and try to steal your resources" and it's a not particularly subtle way of attempting to suggest that unbelievers are the only people likely to do such things. This is patently absurd, crime exists independently from the influence of religion - it may vary according to the prevalent views of the society (i.e. what is declared criminal will change) but it does not disappear because the punishments are more or less harsh or because people claim a stricter adherence to their particular religion.
 
The thing is though, Muslims are mandated to do things like this by their canon. You can say that it's only 1% of the Muslim population, or something similar (which I'm sure is true) doing things like this. But it doesn't change the fact that extremists can always find canonic justification to carry out these acts, and this isn't helped by the fact their religious leaders, by and large, also mandate such action.

Need I remind anyone of the Ayatollah Khomeini, the head of a foreign state, issuing a fatwa (and money in his own name) for the murder of Salman Rushdie for the crime of...Writing a work of fiction. It doesn't help when the 1% makes up the leadership of these religions.
