Sorry no kid photo's....... But :D

My D3 has now got a little brother a D90. I love my D3 and it will still be my studio and fashion camera but have missed getting out and about doing landscape so have the D90 which will be less to lug about than the heavy D3. I also should have some press working coming up soon and really need a second body that can stay close by and the size of the D90 is perfect for this. Its a cracking little camera and will be off out today with the 50mm f1.4 attached to see how it goes.

Nice! One of the main reasons I went for a D60 was because it was so small and light, I bet the D90 feels like a compact after using the D3! :D

I cant understand why you would want to use the D90 over the D3 for landscapes apart from its lighter?

Most of my landscape stuff was shot on my D300 which in effect is a D90 and when I did upgrade to the D3 I didn't really see much image improvement over it. The reason I did upgrade to a D3 was for the ISO and wanted a to try full frame. If you look at Martin Turners landscape work you can see the D90 can produce some amazing results. I will still use my D3 but at times when i've been in a river or the sea with my 3k D3 my heart jumps a beat sometimes :D

And lugging around two 1D's/D?'s is a very heavy proposition. (Last weekend I was out with two mark II's (3.2kg) three lenses (5kg). Weighed a tonne, I think it's the heaviest set-up I've ever used too (on over each shoulder- spare lens strapped around neck). I'd much rather have been using two prosumer bodies in these cases where the pro-grade build isn't needed.

Enjoy the new toy dude!!

well lol I dont need to look at anyones work to see landscape work.. Thats purely technique regardless of equipment.
Wouldnt you prefer to have the higher mp count for your landscape work and more obviously the full frame?

Think thats your answer there ;)

but its not just landscape its just general photography stuff. For instance i'm going out today with the GF and to lug my D3 around all day is a pain and I might not even take a picture but the D90 is a perfect little camera as its light and small. :D
