The Black Crowes appreciation thread

Awesome band. Hated them when I was in my teens, and now into them in a big way over the past couple of years.

Loved the latest album ('Houston Don't Dream About Me' is superb) although I kinda missed 'Warpaint'. Trying to give that a thorough listening to now, as well as Chris Robinson's solo albums which I've only just bothered with.
 
I know what you mean about the teens thing, an older mate of mine kept pushing Southern Harmony... to which it did take a couple of years for me to appreciate it.
Warpaint is good but it takes a few listens to really grow.
As for the new stuff, for me its some of the best work they ever did, funny as up until this I thought they'd never surpass the older records.

Not picked up the solo records yet but intend to, I only found out last week that it's Audley Freed who did the guitar work.
The LZ record is awesome as well, would have given a body part to see that live, probably still would.
 
Jesus been some time since i heard them, Didn't they do Remedy ? loved that when i was a yute.
