last years top of the range model or this years 2nd best model? bearing in mind this years 2nd top model has kuro technology in it.

This review here mentions a few comparisons I think.

You can pick up the 42G20 quite cheap with 5 years warranty, I picked mine up last night and so far I've been really impressed.

As a V10 owner if I was buying now I'd probably go for the G20, it's newer tech. Well, I'd actually wait for the new V series models

lcd picutres do look sharper tbh, which most people always comment on, but plasma looks more natural, and has much better managment of color and speed, once you get on set up in your on room though you'll not notice the difference as you have nothing to compare with.

I am really intrested in the G20 but there seems to be a lot of horror stories over at AVforums regarding 'floating blacks' and buzzing. Also the voltage increase as the screen ages which in turn raises black levels seems worrying. I'm just going to wait and see as it really does seem the best bang for the buck right now.
