Hey i was sitting in my garden tonight at around half 10 and i saw a bright burning object in the sky, it went in a slight upwards arc then back down, west to south direction. I live in bolton near the m61 if that matters

. Im not an expert on these so i came on here

Just looked on youtube for those Chinese Lanterns. What i saw moved a lot quicker than one of those, it wasnt just floating about it moved quite quick.

It was moving quickly, faster than one of those lanterns. High up also.

I did'nt realize comets and asteroids cared for our seasons when they fly past?

What i meant was they are normally seen at certain dates of the year because of their orbital pattern or whatever.

A Chinese Lantern with a sparrow inside, that flew into it by mistake.

It was almost certainly a Chinese Lantern. I know you said it was moving too quickly for one but if they get caught in wind or an updraft they can go pretty quickly.

I'd be surprised if it was anything other than a lantern.
