Yup - I'm going to stick with m conclusion that he's lying through his teeth.

I can't say an internet discussion has ever ended with me going 100 miles out of my way to prove something to absolutely no one. It doesn't make any sort of logical sense... pretty much like a supposed Christian believing that psychics exist and can talk to the dead.

Also, lazer, if you make an extraordinary claim that requires extraordinary proof, then the onus is on YOU to prove it. Not the other way round. You've stated you have a recording - post it!

(Though I'm certain this recording doesn't exist)

Told you i wouldnt post the recording on here. Not doing that as personal things were said by the medium that i don't want spread around. If you don't believe me, tough.

First person ever to say 2 mediums gave similar info!! lol, where did you get that info from, the back of a cornflakes packet?

It funny how those that don't want to believe in anything are the ones who get worked up and start hurling abuse at others like calling me a troll etc.

I am not a troll. I did experience what i said i did and i stand by what i said. If you have a hard time believing any of it then thats your problem, not mine.

I'd rather not bother trying to prove you wrong, just no point in trying to do that. Waste of time. You're happy with what you believe (regardless of how ridiculous it sounds to me), I'm happy with what I believe (regardless of how ridiculous it sounds to you). We're both happy. Win - win situation. That pretty much ends the discussion :)

I haven't called you a troll because I believe that you believe what happened however I do not believe that you made a 100 mile trip to prove us wrong when you had the chance to record it.
If I had the chance to prove something again I would make sure I was armed with technology.

Can you read? I stated i did the 100mile trip as that was the only place thats was holding an open day event, i wanted to get as far away from my home town as possible, plus, it was done for my own amusement, not yours!!

I merely mentioned it on here as it was in relation to what was being discussed.

I will be visiting another medium next month with my sister as she has said there is another event coming to my home town. Pointless me letting you know what happens as you will say i am being a troll!! :rolleyes:

Seems like we are going around and around in circles anyway so i have had my say on the matter. Pointless going around in circles all the time!

Its just so happens after what you said on here you suddenly went on a 100 mile trip to somewhere far far away.
While you went to this far far away place you could have made recordings like your first one.
I am not calling you a troll - far from it.

I dont think you are trolling I just think you are impressionable. I am sure that if you recorded a session with a medium and had it analysed then you would be shown blow for blow how it is done and you would look at it and think bugger, ive been taken for a ride.

Put it this way, if you go to see a magic show in scotland and see a fantastic trick that you couldnt make heads or tails of would you think that it was magic? You then go to dorset and see the same trick. That wouldnt prove that it was either magic or that it was real.

All that proves is that there is a method behind the way these scam artists work and that it is indeed a formula based on suggestion, you fitting whatever they say to your circumstances. Derren brown has shown that he can do exactly the same thing as the 'top medium' and also that people are thick enough to think that someone is psychic when they get one hit out of 5.

You saw people amazed by it all when he got one right and you think 'wait a minute, the last 3 things were way off.'

Say to anyone in their mid 20's that someone in the family has died recently and you will probably be right. Probably a grandparent. Shocker.

Impressionable? Not really as i have grown up in a scientific environment. Have always questioned things etc. Can't see how the 2 mediums came up with almost identical info such as , age, name, desciptions, exact causes of death, physical attributes etc. We are not talking about willy nilly comments but actual, factual info

Every trick etc that Derren Brown does is setup before hand, every single one. He can do exactly what a 'medium' does only because the people he does the readings for are actors / setup. I know i said he may be Psychic. He may be in some way!! Who knows

I am 45. Lost my twin brother when he was 22. Mediums gave his name, age, build, told me it was my twin, how he died, plus that he died with his brother-in-law etc. That is very 'specific information, given by 2 different mediums

Read carefully now: I DON'T KNOW HOW IT WAS DONE!!!!! I HAVE NO EVIDENCE OF HOW IT WAS DONE.

Some on here have given thier ideas as to how. They might be right but i have my doubts.

I am going to see another medium next month and if anyone wants me to post what happens then i will. As for recording it, that is always up to the medium. The last one didn't want to record it and also, i wouldn't put any recordings on here.

Thing is, i didn't give them any details last time. Nothing. Didn't give them my name, where i came from etc. I wanted to be as neutral as possible. I suppose i could put on a scottish accent!!

I'm not sure why you've suddenly decided this is fact. Derren Brown does not just set up "readings" beforehand, there is a whole lot more skill to it than that :confused: You seem to keep changing your mind as to what he does.

It's a shame you don't want to share the recording, although I do understand why, because the nature in which the information is put across is so pertinent in working out how it was done. I know you say that you just sat down and they blasted you with facts about your family, but that's so unlikely you're either exaguerrating or like I've said before they have prior information on you, by whatever means. Is there no chance you could cut out the bits you don't want aired to the public and share the rest? would be better than nothing

Then people would just say that he has cut out the parts where he provides the info to the medium.

Would need to be the recording in its entire length, uncut. I mean I wouldnt mind because I have no idea who Lazer is, so anything in there which is personal would be totally irrelevant to me anyway.

Having said that, trying to work out how the medium did it is a fairly pointless exercise, Lazer has his views and we have ours. Might as well let this particular topic just die because nobody is going to change their minds and its really a waste of time and effort.

On to an entirely new non-medium, non-Lazer topic imo !
