Tim Silvia vs Pudz

Sylvia doesn't look up to much nowadays, but Pudz was too inexperienced to take him on, plus he gassed in the first.

That was just poor, both of them were so slow. What is the point of that sort of match.

I read somewhere that Pudzilla has the technique of a 300 lb 2 year old throwing a tantrum - and I think that somes him up. The guy is a beast, but he has no technique and carrying all that muscle I just cant see him having good cardio.

Tim Sylvia was a big step up in competition for Pudz, but Tim is still nowhere near the Top 10. I dont think Pudz will ever be anything more than a freak show style attraction - I reckon he'll fight Kimbo next.

Pretty terrible match, it's terrible watching someone past there prime trying to keep going at what they were once great at.

The other guy just looked like he didn't know what to expect inside the Octagon, he definately needs too go away for a good 6-12 months and refocus on what he needs to do in there - also some cardio too I think, ha!

terrible fight, will do nothing for his reputation in the slightest.
many people look up to him, now he looks silly :(

Mariusz's boxing trainer Krzysztof Kosedowski had this to say a couple of weeks ago before his second fight:

"His boxing technique is bad. There a lot of holes in his game. His defense is weak, he didn't have much time to learn. There are holes in every aspect of his boxing technique. His jab is bad, his legs are bad, his defense is bad, his offense is bad. I also don't think Mariusz is ready to take a punch."

At the time I was wondering if it was a brilliant ploy to lull Tim into a false sense of security, I see now that he was just being brutally honest. I guess he saw this coming a mile away.

If his trainer knew this, wasn't it a bit daft to take the fight?

There is a lot of money involved with Pudz starting MMA, and status too...being big and strong is a big thing in Poland and combat sport/MMA is also very popular. Pudz/his team clearly had the idea that as he is the biggest/strongest, he will dominate the sport.

He's a national hero in Poland, so it was interesting watching the fight in Warsaw. The guys I watched it with could not find a negative word to say about him even though he was rubbish :D

He also only fought two weeks ago which was probably a mistake for such a new fighter.

He's not a fighter looking at the fight (though I'd still run away from him!! :p).

However, if he ever develops a good technique and discipline, with his strength he's likely to be quite a force to be reckoned with - but he's no way near that yet.

Went as I expected it to go, Mariusz needs to go back to weights.

Clearly doesn't have the heart for MMA if he taps to that.
