Karting at PF International Circuit

Taken with EOS 1000d, Canon 75-300mm f4.5-5.6 lens, shot in RAW, post processed in DPP. Comments and critique welcome. I'm aware that I need to capture the essence of speed more, and will try next time to get some pans where the background is further blurred.

Motion.

I can't tell the speed from the shots. Try stopping down and panning between 1/15th for creative shots and 1/60th-1/250th for normal shots.

IMO in motorsport only time freezing motion works is when you have sparks, compression of the suspension, wheels off the floor, crashes etc.

Shots with motion tend to sell much better...

Good sharp shots and nice processing.

I find PF a difficult track to get good shots though, as your either too high up from the action or too far away.
