Where I was this weekend :) Whole beachfront was bustling, was a great atmosphere. Bournemouth is an otherwise somewhat boring place to live though. London isn't any cooler though beleive me!

Peaked at 28 here today, not a cloud in the sky.
Love it, going outside and it being warm on your skin.

Just not in my room where it's even hotter with no aircon :(

I never understand peoples fascination with the beach, I think a nice cool forest is much more interesting during the summer months, I remember when I was young we used to have picnics in clearings in the woods during the bluebell season, it was so beautiful, the bluebells used to cover the forest floor as far as the eye could see, I don't think enough people go and enjoy having a good family picnic these days, there's nothing like going out in the country with a blanket and basket of good savoury foods, bottle of wine with a good book and nothing but the sound of the summers gentle breeze rustling the surrounding trees.

That sounds very peaceful and serene. Great for de-stressing.

I tend to get little opportunity to be close nature (in the way you described), but that sounds better than a beach.

3 hours of rain this morning, more than enough - open up the clouds and get back to the sun at 25+ temps please!

/oh this is England. :(.
