clearing itouch for sale

anybody know how I go about doing so?
Just deleting off songs and music, personal info etc.
Not sure which firmware Iam on but dont want to go back to factory firmware.

I simply format them through itunes.

It's the safest way of clearing everything.

do I need to...eurgh....forgot what it's called, tell itunes that the ipod isn't mine?
Like unlink my itunes to the ipod, or does that happen automatically with formattin?

I bought an Ipod Touch from my mate. He left all his stuff on there, I just restored it through iTunes and it wiped everything and set it up for my computer

is £100 too much asking for a 1st gen 16gb, comes with wall charger, usb cable, originial box, leather case (which ive never used)...uhm...not sure what other accesories....oooh originial earphones unused by myself.

As Benjo said, you can just restore it which will wipe all the contents. Then it's ready for sale.

The new owner will just connect it to their mac/pc. iTunes will ask them whether they want to restore it so it syncs with their library.

It's pretty straightforward for any buyer.

Not completely unreasonable. You might get £85+ for it depending on the condition.

I got my Gen2 16Gb for £40... although it does have a hefty dent in the back. Popped it into a leather case and it's fine
