Do all TD drivers think they are driving a supercar?

Maybe it's just me but I've noticed a lot of Turbo Diesel drivers, especially in people carriers think that they are driving a fast sports car. Had a guy in a Galaxy weaving and cutting people up on the A40, when I got up to him he not only refused to move over but kept on coming into the middle lane to stop anybody passing. Had anotther guy in a Renault of some sort on the back roads to Slough using the 2 lanes as 1, doing all of around 55-60 but refusing to let anyone pass.

Times like this I wish my car was KITT so I could add some extra power to the TD by lauching a missile up their arse.

Yup, they've all got something to prove to themselves. They didnt buy it for economy, honest, they bought it for the torque and the 'power delivery'.

WITOR! i don't have facebook anymore so i'm just letting you know I keep seeing your car everywhere.. parked outside the old cinema, queensway quay flats, little bay.. but you're never in the car!
sorry for OT

In a one hour drive to Birmingham on Sunday every car that decided to do the old "Okay, I'll move from the outside lane where I'm sitting at 70mph but when I get out of your way I'm FLOORING it" trick, without exception, was a diesel.

i can fill up my diesel car with £22 and that will last me 2 weeks of daily use...

However, I have 56 BHp and a rusty hole in my boot so i'll shut up...

Noticed a lot of 530d / 525d drivers appear to believe they are driving some sort of oil burning "slightly smellier M5" type 5 series. And yeah, "reps" springs to mind.

That said, I'm prepared to forgive the ones under this impression that have M Sport kits fitted as standard because those ones have at least 100bhp more than standard 530d's.
