Tyres & Brakes

60 quid for KU31's in that size...

Where? Cheapest I can find it £75?

Think I might book it into Fiat, it's still under warrenty and although I'm almost certain it's something to do with the brakes I'd rather get it checked out for dodgy suspension or something else.

If they tell me it's discs/pads I'll get some and pay a friend to fit them.

I'm sure that they will tell you they need replacing regardless, I imagine if you were to pop into a main dealer just to have your windscreen wipers changed they'd try to convince you that you needed new discs and pads all round.

Does this have anything to do with your smack and subsequent on-the-cheap repair?

No, I had noticed the issue slightly before, although only once.

I had the car mechanically checked by Fiat who agreed that the damage was only on bodywork, all of which was done to a good standard.

The only thing that went un-noticed was that the induction kit hose had become slightly loose and slipped off, the clip was still there but needed to be tightened and held at the same time, which needed two hands or a real man like Howard to fix. This was because Fiat were not aware I had the induction kit and remap and didn't look for it.

:)

Those tyres look pretty good value and have good reviews, unless anyone can top that in the next day or two I'll order then. When they're being fitted I'll mention the brake issue to the garage and see what they say.

I did some testing today and under very hard braking (not ES'ing but pretty hard) the brake pedal does fight back at me slightly, sort of rumbling back and forward.

:D

Following you, all I could hear was induction noise :D

And... yeah I'd change that tyre ASAP :|

Good man :) Good price methinks. I am after new wheels so weighing in tyre options. They do 225/40/18 Falken 452's for 60 quid a pop too! Mad lol.
