Which razor? (Wet shave)

Sure.

(a) Get a Mach 3 if you don't have time in the morning and are okay with an adequate but not great shave. This will be far more expensive than using a double edged razor but is convenient,

or

(b) Get a razor like a Merkur and some decent blades and cream/soap. This will take time to learn, takes longer to shave in the morning but gives a superior shave and is less likely to give you razor rash. On the other hand, you can cut yourself if you're not careful.

I go with (b) unless I'm very pressed for time in which case I'll go the (a) route.

This (Merkur 34C here).

Fusion I found had too big a blade surface, just felt awkward trying to shave with it. Wilkinson Sword Titanium wasn't sharp enough.

What you will find though is if this topic is open long enough you will have one reply suggesting each type of razor is the best. It's quite a personal thing.

Well this has helped me at least, i quit wet shaving just because i get a rash each and every time.
Think i shall give the Merkur a shot and see how it pans out myself.

Gillette Blue II Disposables with lubrastrip - £1.29 for a pack of 5

I use them to not only shave my chin and neck, But my head with and against the grain. Rarely cut myself and they are dual bladed too

I wont buy another razor after finding these babys. Fantastic!

I use a Fusion now, had a Wilkinsons Sword Quattro but found that I was getting far too many cuts with it, the blades also got clogged which doesn't happen on the Fusion.

I have a Merkur HD 34C and found it a lot better than Gillette etc. More of an outlay, but far better value IMHO than paying so much for each blade with all the stupid gimmicks they add.

I went from..

Mach 3
Mach 3 Turbo
Fusion Power

King of Shaves Azor

I'm sticking with the Azor, the blades are super cheap and it does a closer shave, with zero pain

be a real man and get a cut throat razor.

I tried using every one of the latest Gimmick Gilettes and such everyone gave me a really bad rash on my neck. went to the basic of their range and have had no issues with that.

Then I found using a cut throat is the best for my skin so have stuck to using that.

If and when I do shave.

You bunch of frilly knicker wearing pansies... be a man and shave yourself with a piece of heavy grade sandpaper.

Christ I'm getting bored of the "omg be a man" comments, seriously now.
