I Have £620 For A 5850 Build, Any Ideas?

Max i am able to budge is £620, Please no more, I do not mind £1 or £2 more but not a tenna or so!

this is my idea, does anyone think it is good>? if not could they give me their idea>?


-HIS iCooler V ATI Radeon HD 5850 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card,

Because i already have everything except:

Processor,
Motherboard,
Memory,
Graphics Card,
Power Supply (unless a 350w Power Supply will power it, LMFAO),
Case,

The RIG will be used for Gaming and it is compulsory to have an ATI Radeon 5850 inside, unless you have a good enough reason not to do so!

There is also the OCZ ModXStream 500W for around the same price. This could be better.

Xigmatek Asgard Midi Tower Case ~ £27

The total comes to around £620 excluding delivery.

However the build stulid has suggested means you have no old parts holding back your build.

The newer hard disks for example are faster and if you are lucky the 785G motherboard maybe able to unlock the Phenom II x2 to a quad core. The motherboard also has a split 8 phase VRM which will help if you intend to overclock the CPU.

If you don't need USB 3.0 and SATA 3.0 the 785G based motherboard suggested earlier would do the job. Make sure that you get a PSU with a pair of PCI-E power connectors as the HD5850 1GB requires a pair of them.

The socket AM3 motherboards tend to be better specified for a lower price than their socket 1156 equivalents. The money saved can be then put into a more expensive processor.
 
you should do 5770 CX because itll save you money then later your like buy another then your pc looks cool coz it liek has twooooo grafixs card's ::PPPPPPPPP

I still cant believe why people assume that AMD have no respect at all. AMD is perfectly capable of handling gaming especially with the components which have been originally selected.

Couple of months ago now. i5 750 on a gigabyte UD5, 4gb ram, H50 cooler, 250GB HDD, blingy expensive case. Was all only 1-2 months old too :). Was lucky I guess. What helped the auction stay low was lousy photos and a ridiculous end time, but I'm not complaining. It's a risk going second hand, especially on ebay, and I wouldn't have bid if I hadn't built up some communication with the seller, and it was local enough for me to go and collect and see it all working plus receipts etc before parting with the cash. Have a search on there for 'gaming PC' or something like 'quad core' or '5850' perhaps. Filter out the buy-it nows from online shops so you're only looking at genuine auctions, or look at used stuff only, and see what's on offer. Might get lucky :)

Tbh, I'd only go for the 5770 with that budget for a almost full build. Its not that much less powerful :)
