Ha you have reminded me of my jack Russell. I came home once to find him humping my cat.......who is also male. Dirty bugger will hump anything!
 
Give him a hand to rise up to the moment though i would suggest placing your hand over a heater for a few minutes otherwise it might have the opposit effect!

I think the point in life where you are giving a dog "a helping hand" is probably about where the end should be.
 
I think two years old is about right, gives them time to mature properly.

Don't have a problem with people home breeding as long as they find the offspring proper homes

In this case the OP should be doing it today from the sounds of how much he cares about the dogs.
 
My understanding was you should let a bitch have a first couple of cycles as well as making sure she is physically mature enough to go through the pregnancy. Your dog's gayness may save your bitch going through pregnancy to early. Why do you want to breed them?
