I'm sure no one here is anywhere near the status of "Hakoom" but who here on this forum has achieved the most plats?

I currently have 0 plats but really want to have my first platinum trophy in Red Dead. Only at %18 in RDR but will get there. Also, the #2 PS3 player in the world only has %28 in RDR. I'm not far off from him. :D

oh and Hakoom has 155 plats and is currenlty the greatest PS3 gamer to ever live. His Youtube channel.

LOL I dont think I've even played 155 games in my life let alone just on the PS3 :eek:

I've only got 1 platinum, got it on Heavy Rain; the only game I've ever really wanted to get one on, doubt I'll be that fussed about getting one with RDR (especially as no doubt it involves getting heavily involved in the multiplayer)

4 iirc, dunno. I realized trophies/achievements were naff a while ago and stopped caring.

Currently ranked 20,558 surprisingly high for someone that doesn't give a toss :p

Very close to one on ass creed 2, 98% If I remember.. but traded it in lol.

Think Skate 2 is my next closest with 73%, tbh I don't really care too much about them.. A lot of my trophies I will just get from playing the single player then randomly get them while online.
 
0 here, not that bothered about trophies or achievements. Also any game that has ridiculous online ones can bugger off as well.

Some people say he has a shared account amongst 8-10 people.

He spent 200 hours on I think it was pure to get the plat. Crazy dedication... waste of time but still crazy dedication.
 
A bit fat 0 for me. I haven't loved any game enough to bother. :D Closest with Resistance 2 but 10,000 multiplayer kills in a mode I don't like - it's just not going to happen.

i got about ~8?

i mostly do it for the challenge, or if i really like the game. if its got loads of tedious tasks than i just don't bother. some of my platinum highlights are sf4 and mirrors edge. i actually barely have time to complete games these days, let alone platinum :o
 
0 Platinums for me. I've only owned a PS3 since January and most of my 7 or 8 games have some sort of stupid trophy where you need to collect a certain amount of each item, like Uncharted 2 where you get a trophy for doing all the treasures, it's not really part of the main story so I never bother with those types.
 
0 for me. Don't have the inclination to grind a game for a simple number. Same with achievements. Although I would like to get as many as I can for RDR.
 
0 plats for me, I don't really bother playing stuff just to get the achievements although I'm more inclined to do it on the 360 because I much prefer the integration. Trophy system is lacking and needs an overhaul.

Ditto - really dont get the appeal its just an arbitary figure that doesnt really relate to your enjoyment of a game, kinda sad the number of threads you see regards 'easy achievements/trophies' though :o

I only really bother to try to get the Platinum in single player games I really like, as it extends the gameplay a bit, once the main storyline is finished.

Would like to get Platinum in God of War 3 at some point, and Red Dead Redemption (Although that probably has loads of multioplayer ones which I don't have the time/dedication to work towards).

I found it very rewarding to achieve platinum trophies and of the 5 platinums I got I would have played the games for >30 hours anyway so I might as well do everything and get everything in the game.

I have a lot more games that are ~80% completed that I can't be bothered to get platinum as it requires a lot more tedious gameplay and/or online grinding.
 
I think thats why the platinum trophy seems to work, while 1000 point completion doesnt for me - its hard to discriminate if that overall score is due to playing a load of games to low completion or just a few to high completion. Its actually quicker to decipher that using the trophy system...

Neither has ever made me think I need to complete a game for the sake of it though - I am still determined to platinum both Uncharteds and Infamous though...
