No, this is not medical. All I have is a slight noise in my right ear when I swallow sometimes. It sounds like an elastic band being flicked in my ear

I have no pain, no hearing loss or anything like that. I havent been diving, in a plane or swimming pool for ages. I started noticing it about 5 days ago

Has anyone had this or know what it might be?

Wax?

I had to get 1 of my ears syringed as i was going deaf thanks to wax on the drum.

Just go to the docs or get some dynamite :p

Stop pushing the cotton bud when you feel resistance.
Oh and go see a doctor - no medical advice allowed.

Your brain has come loose and is knocking on the side of your skull. :p

Seriously a wax job or the doctors. :)

spiders laying eggs most probably.

This, at night, spiders crawl into your mouth whilst your asleep, they also crawl into your ear as well and sometimes make camp in there and repeatedly bat the cotton bud away to protect their new home.

True, I have a friend who said his best mate told him about his sister's cousin's husband who once knew a guy that this happened to.

I have a funny right ear - at times it will almost sound a but rustle-y, particularly in the mornings, and particularly when moving my jaw or swallowing.

What it is, I'm told by the doc, is a build-up of goo inside the drum - if it went too far it's like glue-ear in kids, and I guess would require a grommet inserting to drain it, which'd be unpleasant.

Docs often throw antihistamines, decongestants, etc at you to try and thin and clear the mucus, it sortof worked for me but not permanently - I suspect I have a thinnish canal on that side which doesn't let it drain properly now and again...
