Games you have platinum trophies in or want to achieve in.

I started playing Uncharted 2 on normal and wanted another playthrough so went with hard and after finishing that I pretty much knew at what points in the game what strategy is needed so went with crushing and even so found myself wanting to stop but somehow managed to keep going and get the platinum trophy.
 
17 platinums and ranked 4953 in the world. Didn't think I would be that high! Bit worrying. There are quite a few games I could get a platinum on but haven't been bothered to spend the time on.

My longest platinum was Resistance 2, but loved that game although 10,000 kills got a bit boring in the end.
 
I've got 95% on Batman and Uncharted 1, but I lost interest in wanting to get the last trophy (finish the game on hardest settings). I may go back to them.

I usually find that I play a game once, if I get a decent number without actively trying then I'll set out and go for ones I'm close or near to getting. If I play through and get 4 or 5% in then I lose interest.
 
I got one for Fallout 3, that's it, although one day I will go back to Mirror's Edge and finish the speed runs for platinum on that.
I play games to enjoy them, the grind of getting a platinum can really ruin the chance of having fond memories of a game.
After getting my Fallout 3 one I was utterly relieved, I'd gotten fairly sick of the game by then, although I will grab the GOTY edition at one point to play through the DLC.

Platinum is actually a reward for getting every trophy in the game. To compare it to live lets say a bronze is worth 10G, a silver 20G and a gold 50G. However if you get all trophies you get a platinum on top of that which would be worth 100G.

The numbers aren't accurate or anything but you get the point.
 
9706 - 15 plats, with Batman and MW2 probably being the most difficult. My mates got 2, but one of them is Wipeout - watching him getting the gold in zones etc was just amazing. (few of his vids are on youtube and have been linked too from quite a few 'hardest plats' type articles on n4g).
 
Not got any Platinum trophies. Don't really buy into the gamerscore/ trophy thing anyway. Feels like a cheap way for them to get you to play the game for longer than you normally would.
 
1 that was Uncharted. I've 100% a few PSN games like Battlefield 1943. I tend to only go for platinums if I really enjoy the game.
 
The number 1 guy in the world has to have other people playing on his account as well or he must have no life what so ever.

I've got a couple of plats, but only really go for them if I really enjoy the came, don't see the point in going for a plat if it's going to take to much time or I don't want to do it.
 
I only have two, inFamous because it required little more than just doing a good and an evil run through, and Demons Souls because the beast compelled me.
 
none currently, was intending to get one in Uncharted 2 until my save corrupted at around 90% now i dont even know if i can be bothered to play through again let alone go for 100%, i think ill give it a week or so or maybe complete COD WaW campaign first
