I'm trying to find the cheapest possible way to get to Vegas?

Best time of the year?
Best route (direct, indirect)
Cheapest airline.
When to book? Early or last minute?

I won't be needing accommodation with this!

I've used flight scanner and I see September is around £650 direct, or £450 indirect with a change. (adds about 3 or 4 hours to the flight each way). But are there any better months to go, certain days of the week etc?

Thanks.

I'm going in September and as I'm also going to LA, San Diego and San Francisco I was looking for flights to any of these as I simply didnt mind where I landed. LA was always the cheapest, cheap enough that it might be worth you flying there and then driving to Vegas. I paid £469 for direct flights with Virgin.

We're going in Sept and the way our TM has planned it is via LA. Think we paid £350 for flights, then going to hire a car and drive the last bit.

We went via some place that starts with an M - its only adds a few hours and makes a nice break during the flight - was only around £300 a few years ago.

That's a bargain!

I take it that is flight only return?

Time of year

Cheapest is uaually Dec/Jan excelpt for NY, bloody cold though

July/August has very cheap rooms but flights not so cheap

Indirect flight almost always cheapest, North West often have good fares

Book Early

£450 is pretty standard, under £400 takes some doing, I once got one for £280 but not seen anything like that for ages

We went via Denver with United, can't remember the price details but it was very reasonable and the conection time in Denver was really good, apart from the drugs dog but thats another story.

We went with Virgin Atlantic flying to Vegas in March and returning from LA in April and it cost <£450 each. I think we booked in ~February through Expedia.

Flight only return - not quite a bargain, it was £420 when I began looking but then it went up. Glad I booked when I did - the same flight times are still available today at a whopping £586
Speaking of flight price inflation (unrelated to vegas...) I bought tickets in May last year to fly to sydney on 20th December last year, return 3rd Jan for ~£1100. The same tickets in late october were priced £4k+

Unbelievable jeff!

How far in advance did you book that £480 direct flight Fox?

Other than visiting the strip for a day at a casino, what else is there to do? I've heard about Gun Shops/clubs, I'm thinking a skydive, possibly hire a plane and maybe visit some sights?

Spending money for a week like that, you think $1000 would be enough?

Hey Rotty!

Vegas was AWSOME! Was there for St. Patricks day, talk about a party!

Thanks for the advice you gave me before I went. Not too long till you go now is it?

We did similar trip two years ago but visted Chicago instead of San Fran.

San Diego is an awesome place, so nice and chilled out and the bay is stunning. Would live there given the chance.

Enjoy.
