in the photography magazines I buy i the back where the warehouse express advert is, it says you can pay monthly with the cameras

is this true?

has anyone had any experience with this?

Yeh it's just a standard finance thing, they add a fair bit of % on though.

Canon 5d2, 24-70 and 135L is roughly £3.4k - after their apr you end up paying about 5 grand.

Not that I ever rang and asked....

Bit strange really, bought a couple of small things from them, few days later they called to tell me I'd won a competition! I'm pretty sure there was nothing on the website so I was a bit suspicious, but all I had to do was call up, say who I was, and they put an order through for £1000! No follow up, just got everything in the post a few days later!

Assuming you can get credit (and decent terms at that), a better option might to be get a credit card which offers 0% on purchases for 12 months (or so).

Interest free credit is just saving in reverse, just make sure you can afford it! Some are quite sneeky in that the interest free term is 12 months and you have to settle before a due date (they don't take full monthly payments), if you miss this date you are then into a bazzillion percent interest credit agreement!

I've bought loads on interest free in the past, just make sure you direct debit (or put money away) so the full amount is paid off as required.

Would it be better to get a loan with somewhere like Lloyds TSB than to take out interest free with WE ?

Your best option (as someone mentioned previously) would be to apply for new Credit Card offering 0% on new purchases for 12 months and use that.

Also an added bonus is some Credit Card purchases come with free insurance.

There is no need to apply for their high interest finance when this is available.

Just get a Zero % Credit Card. Pay off balance over the term. Job Done.

If you can't do it in the period given then don't do it and save up ;)

got my sigma lens with them a while ago on a 6 months interest free deal, might use them again for my next camera tbh i get most of my kit from them
